The pandemic means that lots of projects that used to be in-person events, print pukapuka, or zines are hurriedly redesigning themselves as digital publications. This requires a new approach to copyright.

In this session we will:
- learn what copyright is and how it works online
- learn what a copyright licence does and how to apply one
- discuss the different copyright kaupapa and enable you to choose the right one for your particular situation
- share practical approaches to managing copyright with multiple authors and formats.

NB: I am not a lawyer and cannot give legal advice.

I know 90 minutes is a long time to spend in a Zoom meeting but don't worry, we will take breaks!

No prior knowledge of copyright necessary. Nau mai, haere mai!

A note on pricing: My aim is to make my workshops as accessible as possible while still earning myself a decent living. The helping hand ticket is for people who can not only afford the waged ticket but also want to help subsidise those attendees purchasing an unwaged ticket. There's also an option for you to add a donation amount of your choosing.
